Solar Epoch

Through the monotonous waiting and patience within the COVID-19 Pandemic, I was driven to focus on time and its importance to myself. The construct of time was always a driving force to me, from wanting to be on time to wishing I had ten more minutes, through this extensive “pause” I was drawn to document time's personal meaning within my photographs.

Developing a historic vision of time in the transitions of the sun & moon, I utilized a 4x5 film camera to track these celestial movements through consecutive exposures that happen every ten-minutes, elapsing a period of hours in places where I metaphorically sought for more time. Through this meditative process of creation, I look to develop catharsis for time.
